Ethique: Our Story Brianne West, CEO and Founder, established Ethique in her kitchen in 2012 when she began experimenting with solid shampoo bars. Today, the company boasts over 100 products in its range.

Our Products We create conscious and concentrated haircare, skincare, body care, and more products to help make giving up plastic bottles easier. All our products are 100% plastic-free, certified vegan, cruelty-free, and palm-oil-free. Additionally, our packaging is 100% plastic-free.

Our Mission We are on a mission to revolutionize the cosmetics industry and regenerate our planet through business. Helping to rid the world of single-use plastic bottles is just one part of that.

Regeneration As of 2021, we have saved over 20 million single-use plastic bottles from being made or disposed of in landfills around the world, over 3 million gallons of water from being wasted, and have planted over 350,000 trees. This is only the beginning!

Focus on Sustainability Small changes in product size and weight lead to lower carbon emissions. We created Compact by Design to identify products that, while they may not always look very different, have a more efficient design. With the removal of excess air and water, products require less packaging and become more efficient to ship. At scale, these small differences in product size and weight lead to significant carbon emission reductions.

Nourishing Ingredients Shea butter, betaine (from sugar beets), and cocoa butter for softer hair and defined curls. No sulfates, silicones, drying alcohols, or waxes!

Save Money & the Planet Each shampoo bar lasts at least 80 washes, equivalent to three bottles of liquid shampoo. To use, stroke the bar down wet hair – it will lather!

Plastic Free This bar has recyclable, home-compostable packaging. Simply tear up the box and pop it in your compost bin or bury it in your garden to return nutrients to the soil.

Ethical & Sustainable Ingredients Formulated using vegan, cruelty-free, palm oil-free, paraben-free, and renewable ingredients, sourced from sustainable producers paid a fair wage.
