Brianne West, the CEO and Founder of Ethique, started the company in her kitchen in 2012 when she began experimenting with solid shampoo bars. Today, Ethique has over 100 products in its range.

As of 2021, we have saved over 20+ million single-use plastic bottles from being made or disposed of in landfills around the world, over 3 million gallons of water from being wasted, and have planted over 350,000 trees. This is only the beginning!

Product Description: Focus on Sustainability

We created Compact by Design to identify products that, while they may not always look very different, have a more efficient design. With the removal of excess air and water, products require less packaging and become more efficient to ship. At scale, these small differences in product size and weight lead to significant carbon emission reductions.

Our Conditioner Bar for Thick, Curly Hair is an example of this. It defines and detangles curls with 10x the active ingredients compared to liquid haircare, helping to fight frizz and leave bouncy curls. The formula has been crafted to deeply moisturize and provide slip for an easy wash day, with cocoa seed butter creating strength and nourishing the hair.

We don't use harsh sulfates, silicones, parabens, phthalates, artificial dyes, or microplastics, and we're 100% vegan and cruelty-free.
